Ministry of Post and Libanpost – Lebanon

I was commissioned by Libanpost to design 55 of Lebanon’s postal and commemorative stamps – in circulation. This is, without a doubt, one of my favorite projects and one I am most proud of. I am always very happy to receive a letter with one of my designed stamps (even if it is a bill!).

My first stamp was a submission for a national competition that I won, and, since then, I was commissioned to design stamps.

The Challenge

How much can you pack in a small print space? // cultural values// that has to be bilingual (Arabic and French)?

Also, in Lebanon, stamps hold significant political weight and are often used as a vehicle to even out political and sectarian representations. I oftentimes found myself navigating these difficulties and looking for the best ways to represent Lebanon without compromising the integrity of the design and the message.
